I am a CELTA and DELTA qualified English language educator with over 15 years of experience across higher education, ELICOS, and international assessment contexts. I currently teach at Macquarie University College and UTS College, supporting students who are preparing for university study and high stakes English examinations.
My qualifications underpin my approach to lesson design, language analysis, and principled teaching practice, and over the years I have developed a broad skill set that connects teaching, assessment, and academic leadership.
Teaching and Academic Development
I specialise in IELTS, Academic English, and EAP, with a strong focus on academic writing, speaking performance, and feedback literacy. I design structured, outcome driven lessons that help students understand expectations and make measurable progress.
Assessment and Standards
I have extensive experience in marking, moderation, and maintaining academic standards. I also work as a calibrated CEFR-aligned speaking examiner for an international English test, applying strict rating criteria and standardisation procedures. This experience allows me to give feedback that reflects real assessment practices.
Academic Coordination and Leadership
I have supported semester preparation, moderation processes, staff onboarding, and student progression systems. As a former Head Teacher, I have led teaching teams, conducted observations, and contributed to quality assurance and compliance processes.
Across all roles, my focus remains consistent: structured teaching, fair assessment, and high academic standards that support both students and institutions.
